What are the benefits of breastfeeding
Breastfeeding has all the nutrients your baby needs to thrive for the first six months of life, and alongside other foods after this time, it's an important and healthy part of the diet.
Research shows that breastmilk has antibodies which protect against infection -- including gastroenteritis, respiratory illness, urinary infections and ear infection . In addition, it reduces the risk of childhood diabetes and leukemia.
In addition to anti-infective properties that are always there, the breastfeeding mother makes specific antibodies as soon as she comes into contact with an infection. These antibodies transfer to her milk, ready for the baby to receive as soon as he next comes to the breast.
Breastfeeding is the healthiest choice for mothers, too. There is a reduced risk of pre-menopausal breast cancer, ovarian cancer and fractures from osteoporosis.
We know that breastmilk has vital long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids which are essential in brain development. It used to be thought that breastfeeding your baby would make him more intelligent. On average, breastfed babies are more intelligent, but recent research has shown that this is more likely to be the result of social and genetic factors.
One benefit of breastfeeding that is not in doubt is that it is convenient. You have nothing to wash, sterilise or prepare. Mothers and babies enjoy it, and when it's going well, you can feel a real sense of peace and achievement to see your baby growing and developing - and it's all your own work!
1 day trip to Bukit Tinggi
Me and yy friends went to Bukit Tinggi Resort, a place near Genting Highlands which located 3000 feet above the sea level. There were a few places to visit such as the French Village, Japanese Garden and Animal Farms.
The journey to Bukit Tinggi Resort took us around 1 hour to reach there from Cheras. We went to Japanese Village as soon as we reached there.
Genting Trip
I went to Genting Highland recently. This was the second or third time in this year and I love that place because the weather is cool.
The first thing i did was played at the Outdoor Theme Park since I had ticket. Below is the rate for the theme park. If raining, not advisable because many stuff will be closed and you will pay for nothing.
After that, i had my dinner at Coffee Terrace, it was buffet dinner and cost RM 50+ per person. Various kind of food available there such as Japanese, western, Chinese food and etc.
GAB visitation
My class was given chance to visit Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) which were arranged by Ms Lai and MsRachael, our Food Processing and Preservation (FPP) lecturers.
GAB is the first and only brewery in Malaysia to receive the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification and ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification from Malaysia’s Ministry of Health.
The interior of The Tavern is tastefully decorated and feels warm and cosy. I like the ambient of the pub and there is in fact a real boiler used in the brewery adorning the bar. Nice!
The Tavern has a wide array of beer on tap. The good people at Heineken were kind enough to provide us with a free flow of beer...
Look Out Point Cheras
Look Out Point is a famous place where you can observe the KL skyline from of course uphill while dining at fine restaurants. It is the favourite place for couples, during countdown or when bringing a non KL friends to hang out.
There are 4 restaurants here if not mistaken. Look for this restaurant if you are looking for cheaper and tastier food. Other restaurant include Gasoline and a Western style restaurant (forgot name) of which both are very expensive.
Been there for dinner recently and managed to snatch some awesome photos. The last time I went it was raining and didn’t managed to see the view and also didn’t bring my camera. This time I’m well prepared and was very satisfied with some of the wonderful shots that I managed to take. Enjoy…
Abalone dinner
I've been to Ah Yat for dinner once and that was the first time i tasted abalone.
The restaurant was already quite packed on that Saturday evening. We spent quite some time perusing the menu. We wanted abalone and were trying to decide whether the ala carte or the set meal would be better value for money. The prices were so exorbitant - either choice would be heavy on our pockets. We consulted a waitress and finally decided on the set meals. Food wise not bad, would say slightly better than normal Chinese restaurant.
You can order set meal or ala carte there with your own preference. For me, I ordered a set meal which come with
We supplemented our sweet with a plate of bird nest (燕窝) egg tart. And it was wonderful. It was rather expensive and the tarts were just bite size. There were ample bird nest in the tarts. The bird nest melted in the mouth together with the soft creamy egg. It was the first time I had such a delicacy. The money spent was worth the experience.
The services there are quite satisfactory. They are quick to respond to your needs.
